KEF Robotics Secures Contract to provide Visual Navigation to Group 3 Aircraft
Pittsburgh, PA & Warsaw, Poland — A number of FlyFocus’ aircraft are getting an upgrade! KEF Robotics, a leader in vision-based navigation for aircraft, has been awarded a contract with FlyFocus, a premier Polish company specializing in custom aircraft. Under this contract, KEF Robotics will provide cutting-edge GPS-denied navigation solutions to enable safe and reliable operations for FlyFocus’s Group 3 (US) / Group 2 (NATO) UAS in contested environments. Work is scheduled to begin in November 2024.
As the demand for resilient and autonomous navigation continues to grow in the defense sector, this contract represents an important milestone in KEF Robotics’ expanding footprint in Europe. With FlyFocus’s extensive expertise in crafting specialized aircraft for NATO and allied operations, KEF Robotics is uniquely positioned to enhance UAS performance in scenarios where traditional navigation tools are compromised.
“FlyFocus’s innovative approach to aircraft design aligns with our mission to push the boundaries of navigation performance in denied environments.” said Fraser Kitchell, Co-founder and CEO of KEF Robotics. “With the recent opening of our office in Oslo, this partnership is timely, thrilling, and shows our commitment to the European market.
KEF’s technology is designed to enable unmanned systems to navigate and perform reliably even in environments where GPS signals are disrupted. Through this contract, KEF Robotics will support FlyFocus in advancing UAS applications to navigate complex, dynamic, and contested areas, contributing to mission success across a range of operational scenarios.
“KEF’s Tailwind technology will enable our aircraft to meet the needs of our most demanding customers and end users”, said Julian Zyromski, VP of FlyFocus. “These are challenges we need to solve today and at FlyFocus, we are preparing for the future.
