DevOps Engineer - Contractor

What you're responsible for

• Designing, building, testing and deploying changes to existing development infrastructure

• Identifying and transition manual processes that can be automated

• Considering the organization’s entire IT infrastructure when making changes and improvements

• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes

• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.

What we are looking for

• Empathetic and collaborative team player 

• 5+ years of experience

• Expert with Linux and Linux tools

• Experience with testing, evaluation, or deployment of robotic systems software

• Experience with IT and security management

• Experience managing on-premise 'bare metal' infrastructure

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Podman, Docker, and/or Kubernetes

• Experience with Software defined networking (e.g. Zerotier, Tailscale, Nebula)

• Experience with CI/CD (e.g. Github Actions, CircleCI, Gitlab CI/CD)

• Familiarity with ROS / ROS 2 (Robot Operating System)

• Familiarity with ML Ops for training and edge inference

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code

• Clear, concise technical writing skills

• Experience with toolchains for embedded environments
